Trevathan was an opportunistic human who resided in the Coastal Ape Colony. He became a historian to Proximus Caesar on human history and fixed up human weaponry.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Not much is known about Trevathan's early life. However, he was born on a human settlement with advanced intelligence due to being immune to the effects of the mutated Simian Flu that robbed most humans of their advanced intelligence many generations prior. Eventually, he left his settlement and journeyed to the western coast of North America.
Supporting Proximus Caesar[]
During the journey, he broke his ankles and was captured by loyalists of a chimpanzee ruler named Proximus Caesar and imprisoned at the Coastal Ape Colony, residing in a sector of a wrecked ship. However, Trevathan eventually adapted to his new lifestyle and began to teach Proximus about human history, particularly about the Roman Empire. He also began fixing up old human weaponry and aided in the advancement of the Coastal Ape Colony while supporting Proximus' ambitions, believing he was securing a future for himself.
Meeting Mae[]
After Mae was captured and brought to the Coastal Ape Colony, he introduced himself, he asked Mae where she came from. When Mae insisted he explain his origins first, he explained how he journeyed to the coast until he broke his ankles and Proximus' followers found him, where he began teaching Proximus human history, particularly about the Roman Empire. From the ship, Trevathan showed Mae Proximus' attempt to open an old vault that could advance his kingdom. However, when the apes failed to open the bunker, Trevathan simply told her that whoever inhabited the bunker was either dead of had abandoned it long ago. Trevathan was informed by Mae that the bunker was previously owned by the U.S. government, who established it to store large amounts of technology and weapons there after the Simian Flu worsened. When Mae argued that Proximus, Trevathan strictly told her that the time of human civilization was over and that she should accept a life under Proximus' rule.
When Noa, Soona, Anaya and Mae try to evade Proximus to blow up the bunker and prevent Proximus from gaining access to the technology inside, Trevathan caught them in the act. Though Mae tried to convince Trevathan to come with them, Trevathan refused and tried to alert Proximus, but was strangled to death by Mae, shocking the three chimpanzees. His corpse was then thrown into the ocean afterwards.
