Actor Tom Felton plays the role of Dodge Landon in the 2011 movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Felton was born in London and, at the suggestion of an actress friend of his family, began acting in commercials when he was eight years old and in films at the age of ten. In 1995, he performed the voice of James in the television series Bugs and landed his first feature film role in Peter Hewitt's The Borrowers (1997). He played opposite Clive Owen in Second Sight (1999), and other early roles included Anna and the King (1999, with Jodie Foster) and TV movie Second Sight 2 (2000). Felton is best known for playing the young villain Draco Malfoy in all eight of the Harry Potter series of movie adaptations (2001-2011) of the novels by J. K. Rowling. At age twelve, he auditioned to play characters Harry Potter and Ron Weasley before landing the part of Draco Malfoy.

In between Harry Potter shoots Felton made a guest appearance on TV series Home Farm Twins (2005) and filmed movies The Disappeared (2008), 13Hrs (2010), White Other (2010) and The Apparition (2011). After completing his final Harry Potter film he landed roles in Rise of the Planet of the Apes and From the Rough. Felton has also recorded an album of original songs available on iTunes and named In Good Hands.

Ironically Felton was attacked by a baboon one month after Rise's release while filming a movie in South Africa.[1]
