Is this....

In Rise of the Planet of the Apes... the "circus Orangutan".. is that Dr. Zaius??? buffymybasset

Funnily enough, Pierre Boulle wrote a follow-up to the original movie that was never used. In it, Zaius reverted to a primitive state and became a circus performer (see Planet of the Men) - MagicManky 13:30, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

Not sure where to ask this, but are the glyphs displayed on Zaius vest, which (I believe) are shown on many of the original costumes and along the side of the Legacy Collection boxed set part of an established alphabet and possibly available somewhere as a TTF font? Hi RedKnight, as far as I know, the glyphs don't mean anything and aren't part of an alphabet. There was some examination of the glyphs on one of the yahoo discussion groups (see here), but I don't think anyone has been able to figure out any meaning to them. If you can crack the code, please share! The same group (and probably some other sites) has a TTF font based on the Planet of the Apes main titles, if that's of any use to you. - MagicManky 21:18, January 3, 2012 (UTC)
With the detail of the glyphs, I would have thought there was something more to them than simple designs but thank you very much for the reply. I will continue to explore and post my findings (if any) RedKnight 13:56, January 13, 2012 (UTC)
