General Rakham was a Mandrill and a member of the Apes High Council. He was the commanding officer of the Mandrill Militia, however unbeknownst to him, his second in command of the militia was being bribed by General Ursus to protect ancient human ruins whilst Ursus secretly had work done on his super gorilla soldier program. Later when Ulysses went to the Ape council to demand Nova's release, he brought proof of Ursus' insidious plans and his bribing of Rakham's second in command. After Ulysses and Nova had being banished by Zaius and Ursus', a confused Rakham asked Zaius why he had let the two humans go. Zaius then explained that doing so, he had by Ulysses to run away would make him a selfish coward with no hopes of overthrowing the apes in hopes of disbanding the human resistance. However unbeknownst to the Ape council, the massive combined forces the human resistance and the Akanites under the leadership of Mathias were preparing to attack Ape City.
