Planet of the Apes vs Fantastic Four is an upcoming four-issue miniseries featuring the iconic Marvel family crash-landing on the ape-dominated future of the 1968 Planet of the Apes film.

Synopsis:[]

WORLDS COLLIDE when the Fantastic Four become stranded on the apes’ world and find themselves face-to-face with Cornelius, Zira, Ursus, and Dr. Zaius. But trouble follows them: classic Marvel villains have also targeted Ape City, setting up a crossover brawl unlike anything either universe has seen.^[1]

The crossover was first announced on November 19, 2025 by AIPT. A primary^[2] cover by the controversial Greg Land, along with a sneak peek of a panel by interior artist Andrea Di Vito was provided. The announcement also included a small comment on working on the miniseries from writer Josh Trujillo and Andrea Di Vito.^[1]

"I grew up watching Planet of the Apes marathons on Saturday afternoons, so it's a huge thrill to write for these iconic characters!" Trujillo shared today. "Having Marvel's First Family butt heads with Cornelius, Zira, and Dr. Zaius is just too much fun, and I can't believe I'm the one who gets to tell this epic tale. It's a mash-up decades in the making, and I hope you come along for the ride!"^[1]^[3]

Artist Andrea di Vito added, “It sounds like a weird meeting at first, but then you realize both franchises were meant to meet sooner or later. Exploration has always been the Fantastic Four's main drive. Ending up on the Planet of the Apes is absolutely perfect for a classic FF adventure, set in the immortal tone created by Stan & Jack....^[4] I am honored to illustrate this ‘first official meeting’ between the Marvel Universe and Planet of the Apes.”^[1]^[3]

Infamous "artist" Greg Land once again displays his tracing ability on the first cover revealed for the series, as various characters featured on the cover are lazily traced from different sources.
- Doctor Zaius is clearly traced from a photo of the Mezco action figure of the character.
- Cornelius is directly traced from a mannequin made by a dedicated group of fans known for creating 1:1 prop replicas of the films, Apemania.^[5]
- Zira and Ursus are taken from a promotional still of Escape from the Planet of the Apes and Beneath the Planet of the Apes respectively.
