Notes[]
- The book excludes all art that was not featured in the Planet of the Apes Magazine proper. This includes the covers made for the Planet of the Apes (1968) and Beneath the Planet of the Apes adaptations in the Adventures on the Planet of the Apes 11-issue series, as well as the exclusive covers created for the magazine’s United Kingdom release.
- The book also entirely omits artwork from Malibu Graphics, Dark Horse, and MR Comics. Given that it includes art from a major company like Marvel Comics, it's safe to assume that the omission wasn't due to a lack of resources or high licensing fees, if any were involved in the book's publication.
