The Hidden Oasis is a stretch of plentiful land bordered by a vast desert and the current home of the San Francisco Ape Colony after escaping the Human-Ape war.
History
Discovery
During the search for a new place for the San Francisco Ape Colony to live, Ape Prince Blue Eyes and Rocket found the oasis after a long journey. Seeing that it was across a desert far from the ongoing conflict of the Human-Ape War, they decided that it would be a perfect settlement for the apes to live freely.
Following the attack on their waterfall home, the apes realized their location was compromised and Caesar told his followers to head for the location Blue Eyes spoke of while he went off for revenge on the Colonel for killing his wife and son. However, the apes were intercepted and captured by Alpha-Omega along the way.
Ape's Journey
During the battle between the opposing human armies, the apes escaped captivity before the Alpha-Omega base was subsequently destroyed by a massive avalanche, with both human armies being lost beneath the snow. With the fighting finally over, Caesar and the other apes were free to cross the desert and find the oasis.
Ape's Home
The apes quickly stumbled upon the oasis, marveling at its beauty and feeling a sense of freedom from the war. As the other apes reveled in their newfound sanctuary, Maurice noticed Caesar's injury and Caesar confessed that he was not going to survive. Maurice assured Caesar that his son, Cornelius, and the rest of the colony would remember him as their savior, understanding his values and sacrifices for the apes. Caesar peacefully passed away, leaving Maurice to grieve his loss while the other apes watched in silence.
Caesar's Funeral
The settlement organized a burial for Caesar, erecting a funeral dock, where they adorned his body with flowers. Afterward, they lit the dock on fire, and as his body was incinerated, all the apes raised both of their fists, showing reverence to Caesar's principle; "Apes Together Strong".
Feature
The oasis is surrounded by mountains and located deep within a vast desert. It sports a large lake in the center and a small forest on the perimeter of the oasis.

Notes
- Blue Eyes was confident that humans would not be able to find the colony, due to the fact that the oasis is surrounded by a desert.
- The location for the apes' new home is an area by a large lake surrounded by hills and mountains next to a desert, the same landscape where the original Apes film was set, and a lake was where George Taylor's spacecraft crashed. The movie's script even has the apes go past a decimated nuclear power plant with the sign "FORBIDDEN ZONE", though this wasn't added in the final cut of the movie.[1]
- The exact location of the oasis is unclear. Although never specified (on-screen), it could be inferred that the oasis is in the Basin and Range Province, most likely somewhere in Arizona, Colorado, or Utah. This is reinforced by the script indicating that the oasis is somewhere past the Mojave Desert.[1] However, both the script[1] and the novelization[2] have the oasis situated in the caldera of a dormant desert volcano, which corresponds to no known landscape of the region. Some viewers, based on the visuals of the Oasis, concluded the location is instead Spirit Lake and Mount St. Helens in the state of Washington.
