Oaka is an evolved chimpanzee and a member of Khan's tribe in the Rocky Mountains. She is the wife of Bryn and the mother of their son Kanj.

Oaka is the daughter of an original member of Caesar's tribe whose pairing with Khan's son, Bryn, was a smart political paring. After Bryn's father Khan took his tribe, the tribal elders, and the rest of his family to flee the fighting between Caesar's colony and Colonel McCullough's troops, Oaka left with them. At some point before or after they left, Oaka gave birth to a male ape named Kanj. The tribe eventually discovered a tunnel of caves in the Rocky Mountains which Oaka her husband, son and the rest of the apes make their new home.
