Milo was a character from the novel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Firestorm.

Milo lived with Koba under the abusive rule of Tommy, their "caregiver". Milo knew sign language and many "tricks" and outskilled Koba. Milo and Koba formed a strong friendship. After beign provoked and abused by Tommy, Milo struck back and bit Tommy, this caused Milo to have a permanent muzzle, clasping his jaw and forcing him to be fed through a straw.

Abilities
- Sign Language: Milo knows American Sign Language. He uses it as a way of communication, it is unknown how he knows american sign language and who he learned it from.
Notes
- His name is a clear reference to Dr. Milo from Escape from the Planet of the Apes, and Cornelius and Zira's son Milo, later renamed Caesar, from the same film.
- Ironically, this Milo is not the first Milo in the reboot franchise. Caesar and Cornelia's youngest son is also named Milo but his name is not revealed on screen and was revealed by Andy Serkis.
- Quoted from page 163 of Firestorm, "This looks like that one chimp on the TV show," Somebody else says, pointing to Milo. "He has that same mark on his face." Here we get a bit of a unique characterisitc that describes him, and that Milo is a Chimpanzee.
