Actress Mattie Hawkinson played the role of Lab Tech #5 in the 2011 movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Hawkinson, a native of Bellingham, Washington, is a graduate of Northwestern University and The London Academy of Theatre. She has worked extensively as a stage actress and in 2009 was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role for the part of Una in David Harrower's Blackbird. Hawkinson's screen credits include TV series As the World Turns (2007), Silent E (2008), Everybody’s Fine (2009), Black Mail (2010) and Law and Order SVU (2010).
