Liet was the wife of Dr. Galen and the cousin of Dr. Milo. She was a social climber who only cared about her husband's place in relation to other apes in the city.
Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes[]
Liet started having an affair with the half-breed garbage ape, Mungwrott, after she surprised the dim-witted ape sneaking up on her while she dressed. It was not Mungwrott’s status that attracted her, but rather the savage nature inherent to the gorilla. Though she felt her marriage to her husband starting to crumble as the abolition of the quota system meant he could not climb his way up the hierarchy, she knew that her affair with the garbage ape could never go public since it would cost her the chance to be part of the very society she desperately tried to appeal to.
Once Mungwrott discovered the human used by her husband, Liet went to Galen's lab, only to be taken hostage by a human named Landon. She tried to lead them in circles around the city to buy herself some time while leaving a trail to help anyone who tried to find her. Once Marcus and Galen caught up with Landon, it seemed everything would be fine for the pair. However, Zaius, aware of Galen's machinations, blamed him for experimenting with the human brain patterns. Seeing this, Liet quickly stepped aside with the gorilla soldiers, allowing her husband to be taken hostage by them. Galen tried to fight the gorillas, but he became entangled in a struggle with Landon and Marcus, resulting in both the chief of security police and her husband falling to their deaths.
Death of the Planet of the Apes[]
After being witness to the horrors of human experimentation, she joined the antivivisection society.
