Larry Spiegel is a writer, director and producer who's first sreenwriting credits were for the movies Book of Numbers and Hail (both 1973). By the mid-1970s he was associated with animation company DePatie-Freleng, and wrote six of the thirteen episodes of their 1975 Return to the Planet of the Apes cartoon series. Thereafter, Spiegel worked mainly in the horror genre, writing and directing God Bless Dr. Shagetz (1974), producing Death Game (1977, starring Sondra Locke and Colleen Camp as two young girls who seduce, then torture a businessman), writing and directing Survival Run (1979), producing Phobia (1980) and writing and directing Evil Town (1987). Spiegel also produced the movies Remo Williams (1988, starring Roddy McDowall), The Sunchaser (1996) and Avenger (2006).
