Kodi Smit-McPhee is an Australian actor who starred in the 2014 film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes alongside fellow Australian actor Jason Clarke, in the role of Alexander, the son of Clarke's character Malcolm. Like Keri Russell, who played his step-mother, Kodi had worked with director Matt Reeves before. Keri worked on the show Felicity where Reeves served as co-creator alongside J.J. Abrams, while Kodi worked on Let Me In with Matt as the director.
