Jefferson Public School was an elementary school located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. By 3978, the school was presumably decommissioned and lay in ruins, or may have had no traces remaining to prove it ever existed. However, it was referenced in that faraway time as Colonel George Taylor told Zira and Cornelius he was an alumnus of Jefferson School, where he learned how to read and write. It was also brought up by Dr. Zaius, who disbelieved Taylor's claim of such an educational institution, instead thinking the community upon which it was situated, Fort Wayne, was a military code of sorts.

The original Jefferson School covered grades 1-8, and located in the central core of the city at what is now 515 West Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN, 46802.
The location is currently Fort Wayne's downtown McDonald's.
It's modern namesake, Jefferson Middle School, is located in the NE suburbs of the city at 5303 Wheelock Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.
