James Daly was an actor who played the role of Doctor Honorious in the 1968 20th Century Fox film, Planet of the Apes. Born in Wisconsin Rapids, Daly studied music and drama before serving with the United States Navy as World War II ended. From the early 1950s he appeared in numerous TV series including the Hallmark Hall of Fame anthology, The Twilight Zone, Gunsmoke, The Fugitive, Mission: Impossible and Star Trek. He also starred in a highly-praised production of G.B. Shaw's St. Joan.
