J.E. Bright was the author of the HarperEntertainment novel Planet of the Apes: Rule, set in the continuity of the 2001 re-imagining of Planet of the Apes. It was to be the third novel in a series - the others written by John Whitman - but was not published. In related publicity, Whitman was credited incorrectly as it's author.
Other works of his include several children's books based on properties such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Scooby-Doo, Ice Age, Madagascar, Alvin and the Chipmunks, G.I. Joe and many others.
