Hila is an evolved chimpanzee who appeared in Planet of the Apes: Caesar’s Story.
Biography[]
Hila was born in captivity before he was liberated from the San Francisco Zoo by the forces of Caesar during the infamous Ape Rebellion. He was carried by his mother as they followed the other apes when she accidentally dropped him and was screaming as the other apes inadvertently kicked and knocked him around. To his surprise a scary gorilla, who later learned was named Buck, saved him and carried him on his back. Hila then took part in freeing the apes from Gen-Sys Laboratories where he met Koba.
Koba told Hila that wanted to follow Caesar after being inspired by his actions and wanted to get revenge by killing the man responsible for his torture: Steven Jacobs. But when he couldn't find him he joined Hila and the others to meet up with the other apes at the Golden Gate Bridge. Hila managed to reunite with Buck and his apes before reaching the bridge. Hila then managed to survive the Battle on the Golden Gate Bridge and reached the forest with Caesar. Hila eventually managed to reach the oasis that would become their new home and signed Maurice stories about his life so he could write them in a book Maurice planned to give to Cornelius when he was old enough.
