John Gregory 'Greg' Keyes is an American science fiction and fantasy author, born in Meridian, Mississippi. He received degrees in anthropology from Mississippi State University and the University of Georgia before becoming a full-time writer.
He wrote the Chosen of the Changeling books (1996-97), and is famous for his steampunk/alchemical quartet The Age of Unreason (1998-2001). He also wrote the Babylon 5: The Psi Corps trilogy (1998-99), Star Wars: The New Jedi Order (2001-03) and The Kingdoms of Thorn and Bone (2003-08), as well as novel adaptations of the The Elder Scrolls computer game (2009-11). Greg Keyes was the author of the novel Firestorm, the prequel to the highly successful movie Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which was published by Titan Books on May 27, 2014. He also wrote Revelations, a prequel to War for the Planet of the Apes, published by Titan in June 2017, and assisted Maurice in writing 2018's Caesar’s Story.
