Earth is the third planet from the Sun, the densest planet in the Solar System of the Milky Way Galaxy, the largest of the Solar System's four terrestrial planets, and the only astronomical object known to harbor life. The Moon is Earth's only permanent natural satellite. Among the extant species on the planet are humans and apes.

- Humans became Earth's dominant species after the extinction of the dinosaurs.
- The Earth was completely destroyed by the Alpha-Omega Bomb in Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Although Earth was later restored by the Time Travel of Zira, Cornelius and Milo in the ship Icarus in Escape from the Planet of the Apes.
- In the UbiSoft/Fox Interactive game, the Human Rebellion call the Earth "Neterre" and the Apes call it "Ter".
