Dar is an evolved chimpanzee and an honored teacher of the Eagle Clan.
Biography[]
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes[]
Dar first appears when Noa returns from retrieving an eagle egg, an important rite of passage for the clan’s bonding ceremony. She examines his hand, recognising the toll of the climb, and affirms her pride in his success. She encourages Noa to share his accomplishment with his father, Koro, even when he seems hesitant.
Later, during the invasion of the Eagle Clan’s village by masked raiders, Dar is seen tied up alongside other clan members. Despite the chaos, she remains composed and focused, urging Noa to assist Koro in freeing the clan’s sacred birds. Her fate remains uncertain after the raid, and for much of Noa’s journey, her whereabouts are unknown. He later discovers her robe among the ruins, a chilling sign that she may have been taken by the invaders.
Eventually, when Noa infiltrates the humans' outpost in a daring rescue mission, he is reunited with Dar, who has survived her captivity.
Personality[]
Dar is nurturing, perceptive, and deeply rooted in the traditions of the Eagle Clan. She embodies the clan’s reverence for nature and order, and holds a place of esteem as an “honored teacher.” Though proud and serious about her duties, she shows a gentle, affectionate side with her son, expressing joy in his achievements and encouraging his emotional growth.
