Chalo

Chalo is a small human settlement located approximately thirty-five miles south of Central City. It is one of the few communities outside Central City where humans are allowed to live and prosper. Despite this however, the settlement is still administrated by an ape prefect. In 3085, the prefect of Chalo was the one-eyed chimpanzee Veska. When Veska discovered that two renegade humans possessing great intelligence were thought to be roaming the countryside, he gathered all of the humans in Chalo together and warned them about their presence.
