- Close to all the elder members of Caesar's immediate family were alive during Caesar's rebellion and the outbreak of the Simian Flu; the only one that wasn't alive when Caesar rebelled was Charles who died while Caesar was in captivity.
- Amongst the male apes in the family, a trademark seems to be a shooting star birthmark on the shoulder; Blue Eyes and Cornelius do not appear to have this birthmark.
- All the apes in the family have green coloured eyes except Blue Eyes; who has blue coloured eyes. The exact reason why is unknown, though it is likely due to some type of mutation, likely influenced by his parents' exposure to ALZ-113, along with his father's exposure to the ALZ-112, the preceding retrovirus, while in utero.
- Cornelius is now the last surviving member of the family, following the passing of Caesar at the end of War.
