War for the Planet of the ApesEdit
Boyle was at the main base, When Percy accidentally drops a log, Boyle becomes enraged at Percy. Boyle then turns his anger toward Red, angrily telling him to teach that "stupid monkey" a lesson he won't ever forget by whipping him repeatedly.
While out on patrol on the tower, Boyle was hit in the back with feces thrown at him by the apes. Enraged, he climbs down to open the gate and demands to know which ape it was at gunpoint. Just as Boyle asks if it was Stone, more feces is thrown at him and Boyle sees Rocket holding the feces in his hands. Boyle prepares to shoot Rocket in revenge before he is pulled down the tunnel the apes were digging by Maurice, killing him.
Boyle was described as a very volatile soldier under the best of circumstances. He would go off on apes when they spilt or throw something at him and pull out his gun. Boyle was ruthless and had a volatile temper even against his fellow troops when they tried to calm him.
- In both the official novelization and a previous script draft of War, there was an extended scene showcasing Winter and Red feeding the remaining Alpha-Omega soldiers as Colonel McCullough took the majority and proceeded to their base at the border. In this scene, Boyle kicked his bowl at Winter after he spilled soup on the soldier's boot, which made the ape snarl in anger before Boyle pulled his gun out at him, frightening the ape. Preacher then attempted to defuse the situation, but Boyle called the latter "Donkey-Lover" and ordered Winter to get a new bowl. This scene was omitted in not contradicting the overall tone of the movie.
