The Ape Assembly was the Leading council of the east coast Ape City. It was made up entirely of Orangutans, and was led by President Gaius, and consisted of Dr. Zaius, Dr. Maximus, and Deputy Honorius.

The Assembly oversaw the trial of George Taylor. They ended the trial ruling that George would be executed, as they didn’t believe his claims to be from a planet where humans were intelligent, and they ruled that Dr. Zira and Dr. Cornelius would face trial for Heresy.
