I’m just going to share what I would rate some of the different ape characters from the revived trilogy out of 10. Idk why but js felt like doing this lol so I will. It’s based off how good a character I think they are. Let me know if you agree or not!
Caesar - 9/10 good character development + leading role
Maurice - 10/10 favourite character + good contrast to Caesar
Rocket - 8/10 alright character but in first film switching allegiances from himself as leader to being Caesar’s buddy a bit quick
Buck - 8/10 good strong character + heartfelt sacrifice in first film
Luca - 7/10 solid character but little chance to get to know him
Koba - 9/10 emotive + understandable villain/antagonist for Dawn
Cornelia - 7/10 mid character, doesn’t do a bad job
Blue Eyes - 6/10 bit of a sad character, unfortunately cannot live up to Caesar’s level
Cornelius - 8/10 cute little character + is someone for Caesar to live for in War
Ash - 7/10 mid character, not bad
Winter - 7/10 bit evil, and shows cowardice
Red - 8/10 evil but returns to Caesar at the end of War, good character
Percy - 9/10 good side character and show of his unfair death in war
Bad Ape - 4/10 bit of an odd but emotive character, causing a couple of plot holes and questions (eg. how did he evolve to speak in just 12 years?)
Do you agree?

The Caesar Cycle may be over, but the Ape King's legacy lives on. I recently came across a fan edit on YouTube that illustrates Caesar's story throughout Rise, Dawn, and War set to Michael Giacchino's "Exodus Wounds". I loved it and wanted to share it with my fellow Apes fans. Enjoy!
